The Liechtenstein Dialogue is an initiative of the Liechtenstein Government. Since its first edition in 2004, the Liechtenstein Dialogue has established itself as a key conference focusing on financial markets. It offers insights into the newest trends and developments in the financial world. Being limited to about 100 selected participants from around the world, the Dialogue also provides an excellent opportunity for networking. As part of this initiative, an international forum on the topic of "Tax Competition in the Global Marketplace" was organized in the fall of 2004. In October 2005, the 2nd Liechtenstein Dialogue brought over 100 decision-makers from politics and business, representing about 15 countries, together in Vaduz. More than 30 renowned speakers from Liechtenstein and abroad illustrated their perspectives and positions on "The Dynamics of Global Financial Markets: Risks, opportunities and challenges for financial centers". In the fall of 2006, high-caliber representatives from the fields of business, politics, academia, and civil society met in Vaduz for the 3rd Dialogue. Speeches, panels, and discussions offered a lively exchange of views on the topic of "Global Risks and Investor Confidence". Financial centers face an ever expanding set of challenges. The fourth Liechtenstein Dialogue, held in Vaduz on 4 and 5 October 2007, considered success strategies for financial centers from multiple perspectives. On 2 and 3 October 2008 approximately 180 decision-makers from Liechtenstein and abroad as well as many high-caliber speakers met in Vaduz to discuss the most recent developments and trends in private wealth management and counseling. |
